Receive $40 to complete one short survey, play math with your child, and allow the team to assess your child’s early learning in a 30-minute learning session.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What ages of children are eligible?

Families with children ages 3 and 4 can participate.

Does it matter where I live?

Any age-eligible child in the Chicagoland area who speaks English or Spanish may participate.

I have more than one child. Do I need multiple appointments?

Yes, you need to book an appointment for each child! Your children can participate one after the other if the schedule allows. 

How long does it take?

The session will take about 30 minutes per child.

What will the format be?

A researcher will meet your family at the location of your choice. You and your child will be asked to play with some math learning materials and provide us with your feedback.

Is there compensation?

As a thank-you, your family will receive a $40 electronic gift card, which we will send to the email address you provide on the consent form.

Do parents participate?

Depending on the session your child participates in, we may ask you to stay, play with your child and fill out a brief questionnaire to provide feedback on the learning materials.
